Hunters of the North

The Hunters of the North exhibition came to Shetland. While it had much modern there was a section on Greenland past and images of this are presented here. The images link to larger images.

This exhibition was not hidden behind barriers so I was able to put my hand inside the kayak and feel the masik. And there in the middle was small depression to put the fingers in as the boat was lifted. Smoothed by wear. This was no model but a real boat.
